Panther Nation,

The 2025-2026 school year brought so many moments of excitement and pride. Coach Joe Webster and the Girls Soccer team enjoyed the most wins in school history, reaching the District Semi-Finals. Coach Jerry Williams and the football team came within a few feet of defeating Jackson and advancing to round 3 of the OHSAA playoffs. Coach Ben Ackley and the Boys Basketball team won their 3rd consecutive FAC title, and coach Justin Stevens and the Girls Wrestling program won the FAC championship in just their second season of competition. Coach Brent Noes and the Girls Track team were District Champions and reached the highest levels of success in the history of that program, with a 4th place finish at the Regional Track Meet and placing several athletes on the podium at the OHSAA State Track Meet. Coach Susan Holloway and the Girls Gymnastics team advanced two athletes to the state competition for the first time ever. Cameron Baker directed Frozen, which is arguably the highest attended and most beloved performance in MT’s storied history of the Performing Arts program. Belle DeBruin became a National Merit Finalist, which is an accomplishment that few students in the entire country can claim. Miami Trace opened the Miami Trace High School Kimberly S Pittser Academic Wall of Fame, honoring the brightest minds that have walked the halls at Miami Trace. While these notable accomplishments are just a snippet of the overwhelming success enjoyed by our students, teachers, coaches, and community, they reflect the ongoing pursuit of excellence that encompasses all that Miami Trace stands for.

Entering my first year as Superintendent of the Miami Trace Local School District, my mind is captivated by the rich traditions and deep pride that defines what it means to be a Panther. Our community is unique. This is reflected in many ways, perhaps most notably in the fact that the Miami Trace community has consistently supported levy and bond issues throughout the years. That is simply incredible, and a testament to the investment that our community has made in the students that attend Miami Trace schools. While new business, industry, and innovation are making their way to Fayette County, we are committed to remaining who we are and what we do. Who we are is Panther Nation, and what we do is provide the very best educational experience for our students. As we embark on the 2026-2027 school year, it is with no shortage of gratitude to our supporters, families, students, and staff members. We truly believe this will be the best year yet!
