Miami Trace At A Glance
Rooted in tradition and driven by purpose, Miami Trace is a close-knit community whose strength has been built through generations of support and Panther Pride. With a spirit of innovation, transparency, and a people-first approach, we honor our past, enrich the present, and prepare students for the opportunities and challenges of the future.
Named after the historic Native American trail that stretched from Portsmouth to Toledo, the Miami Trace Local School District was established on July 1, 1955, through the consolidation of Fayette County's township and community schools.
When Miami Trace High School opened its doors in the fall of 1962, the district became the first county school system in Ohio to fully consolidate its rural schools. What began as a bold new chapter has grown into a shared legacy, connecting generations through the friendships, traditions, and memories that make Miami Trace home.
For 70 years, Miami Trace has honored its heritage while fostering growth, embracing community, and pursuing excellence for every generation of Panthers.
