High Progress School of Honor
The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) recently announced Miami Trace Local Schools as one of the few “High Progress Schools of Honor.”
We were 1 of 67 school districts to receive this designation. The award is based on the proficiency rates and progress of Title I districts. Refer to the article for consideration requirements.

Transition Plan to the New Miami Trace High School

The Miami Trace Local School District has decided to delay the opening of the new high school. Originally slated to open for students on January 2, 2019, the opening has been rescheduled for February 20, 2019.

There is a great deal of technology in the new high school. This extra time will allow us to ensure the quality of the facility, while making sure all systems are up and operational before receiving staff and students. Technology is the backbone for student instruction, as well as systems that control lighting, security, HVAC, sound, communication, among other items.

The opening of the new high school is extremely important for our district and community. We only get this opportunity one time, and want to ensure the smoothest transition possible for both staff and students. Much progress has been made on the building over the past few months. It is exciting to see all of the changes that occur on a weekly basis, and envision the impact that a 21st century educational environment will have on future generations of Miami Trace students.

The dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the new high school is scheduled for Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Quali-Tee Design Performing Arts Center of the new high school. The ceremony will be followed by self-guided tours of the building. We welcome everyone to join us in presenting our new high school to the public for the very first time. We look forward to seeing you there! Thank you.
